The scale

0–19Extreme FearThe timeline is reading stack traces. Out loud. Together.
20–39Debug DreadEveryone is fixing yesterday. Nobody is shipping today.
40–59Cautiously ShippingPeople are deploying, but they are checking the preview first.
60–79Ship EuphoriaThe timeline has discovered deployment. Rollbacks remain theoretical.
80–100Unsupervised ConfidenceAgents are pushing to main and everyone is clapping.
How it's measured

Each signal is scored 0–100 against its own last 90 days, then combined. For the first 14 days, a fixed starting range is blended in until there is enough history. Fear signals count against confidence. Likes never move the score, and each author counts once per day. A signal with no data that day is left out and the rest are reweighted.

Launch velocity (30%). New apps appearing on popular vibe-coding hosts, from public certificate logs.

Timeline mood (35%). Shipping excitement versus debugging pain in a sample of public posts, one vote per author.

Security scares (20%, inverted). Leaked keys, exposed databases and breach stories involving AI-built apps.

Tool friction (15%, inverted). Outages, rate limits and pricing changes from major AI coding tools.

“Delusion” is the joke. The measurement is expressed confidence in public discussion, not anyone's state of mind.
